How many SIP channels do you need?
Estimate simultaneous call capacity from headcount and calling behaviour, then use the result as a starting point for a proper traffic and resilience design.

Estimate concurrency.
Use this as a starting estimate. If you have busy-hour call records, we can size the service more accurately around real demand.
Why the answer is not one channel per employee.
SIP trunks are normally sized around simultaneous external calls, not the total number of extensions. A warehouse with 80 extensions may need fewer channels than a 20-seat outbound sales team.
Use call records when you can
The best design looks at busy-hour concurrency, inbound peaks, outbound campaigns, fax or machine traffic, failover behaviour and expected growth. For Yeastar P-Series deployments, channel capacity should be considered alongside PBX sizing and the SIP service rather than as an isolated purchase.
Want us to size the real system?
Send the result and a little context. We’ll map it to Yeastar P-Series, Yealink endpoints, SIP connectivity and any Teams integration you actually need.
